Authentic Taiwanese Food at R.e.p.i.t

When we first came to Brisbane some time in 2008, there were not too many stalls selling bubble tea. There was this one Taiwanese stall tucked away in Elizabeth Arcade near Queen Street and I really liked their bubble tea. Fast forward to 2014, they started introducing food items! Taiwanese street snacks and rice bowls. We decided to give it a try and have been fans ever since. Their prices are comparatively cheaper and the taste was definitely more authentic.

This is my favourite, the Deep Fried Chicken Fillet with Rice/Noodles. Here I had the noodles but usually I would go for the rice. What can I say, the pickled vegetables, egg, slippery noodles with yummy gravy topped with soy sauce braised pork belly complete with a succulent slab of deep fried salt and pepper chicken, really hit the spot.

Mr. C tried their Beef Noodles for the first time yesterday and although I said it tastes pretty good, he said it was only okay. He prefers the chicken fillet with rice.

And of course we had their sides as well, we ordered some of our usuals, Spicy Tempura Fish Cakes and Salt & Pepper Sweet Potato Fries!

We especially love the sweet potato fries because it is so flavourful, the secret? The toss their fries with plum powder! Salty, peppery, sweet and sour, all at the same time. It may sound weird, but it definitely tastes awesome~

They are often very busy at dinner time so be prepared to wait for at least 20-30 min!
